# v1.3.0 — Your free week, right where you write

## Highlights

If you made an Inkwell account a while ago and never got around to trying Quill, your free week of Quill Pro is still waiting, and now it is easy to find. Quill offers you the week right inside the editor: when you open the panel, from the account menu, and from Settings. One tap starts it. 500 credits, no card, nothing to cancel.

## New

* **Open Quill to your free week.** When you open the Quill panel and a free week is waiting, the panel greets you with it instead of an empty page. Start your week in one tap and keep writing.
* **A quiet marker so you know it is there.** A small dot on the Quill button, with a one-time hello, points you to your free week the first time and then stays out of your way.
* **Start your week from anywhere.** Your free week is now offered from the account menu in the status bar and from Settings, not only when you first sign up.
* **Go Pro when you are ready.** If you would rather skip the trial and go straight to Quill Pro, there is now a direct path from the account menu and from Settings.

## Improved

* **Running low never loses your place.** If you run out of credits in the middle of a conversation, Quill keeps your chat on screen and offers your free week, or a quick top-up, right where you left off, instead of clearing the panel.
* **The right offer at the right time.** Writers who have a free week available are always offered the week first, never asked to buy something they could have for free.

## Fixed

* **Update prompts work again.** Inkwell now checks for new versions on its own and tells you when one is ready, so you are not left sitting on an old build. You can still check any time from Inkwell, Check for Updates.
