How Credits Work
Every time you send a request to Quill AI, credits are deducted from your account based on:- The AI model you’re using (different models have different costs)
- One credit per request (not per word or token)

Check Your Credit Balance
Your current credit balance is always visible in Inkwell: In the Status Bar (bottom-right corner):- Shows your remaining credits
- Updates in real-time after each request
- Credit count appears near the model selector
- Click to see detailed usage information

Free Plan Credits
The free plan includes:- 100 credits per month
- Resets on the 1st of each month
- Access to all AI models
- ~400 requests with GPT-4.1 mini (0.25 each)
- ~200 requests with GPT-4o Mini (0.5 each)
- ~100 requests with GPT-4o or Gemini 2.5 flash (1.0 each)
Credits do not roll over. Unused credits expire at the end of each month.
Pro Plan Credits
The Pro plan includes:- 1,000 credits per month
- Resets on your billing date
- Access to all AI models
- Priority support
Purchase Additional Credits
If you run out of credits before your reset date, you can purchase more:1

Click Buy Credits and choose a package:
