Highlights
Importing a screenplay from PDF is far more dependable in this release. Scripts that used to come in skewed or scrambled now import cleanly, you can watch the progress while it works, and you can cancel a long import if you change your mind.New
- See progress when you import a PDF. Importing a long script now shows a progress bar so you can tell it’s working, and you can cancel partway through instead of waiting it out.
Improved
- Cleaner line breaks from PDF imports. Inkwell is smarter about where sentences really end when it rebuilds a script from a PDF, so fewer lines get wrongly stitched together.
Fixed
- PDFs no longer import skewed or scrambled. Some layouts imported with lines shifted, slanted, or overlapping. Those now come in clean.
- Character cues with two extensions are recognized. A cue like
RICKY (V.O.) (CONT'D)was being read as ordinary action. Inkwell now handles cues that carry two parentheticals, both when you import a script and as you type. - Dialogue near a page break is no longer covered up. The
(MORE)and(CONT'D)continuation markers were being drawn on top of your dialogue in the editor. They’re gone from the editor now, and still print correctly when you export to PDF.
