v1.1.0 — Launch of Inkwell Reader

Released May 25, 2026 We are thrilled to launch Inkwell Reader v1.1.0 on iOS and iPadOS! This companion app to your native macOS Inkwell Editor is designed for screenwriters, actors, and directors to read, review, and navigate screenplays on set or on the go.

Read anywhere

  • Sides Highlight: Tap any character’s name to bold their cues and highlight all their dialogue lines in bright yellow. Perfect for line memorization, rehearsals, and table reads.
  • Reading Themes: Switch between Midnight, Sepia, or classic Paper themes to match your environment.
  • Offline Reading: Open .ink, .fountain, or .pdf files from the Files app and read fully offline.

Inkwell Pro, now in-app

  • Subscribe directly in the app with a 7-day free trial, then $14.99/month. Tap Subscribe in Settings or open the Quill drawer. Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions.
  • Mobile Quill AI: Open the Quill AI panel right next to your script pages to review your draft’s structure, search for scenes, brainstorm character arcs, or get a second pair of eyes on a tricky beat.
  • Already subscribed on the web? Your existing Inkwell Pro subscription is recognized automatically — no need to subscribe again. Quill is unlocked the moment you sign in.
