Highlights

Versions 1.5.1 and 1.5.2 contained a bug that could crash Inkwell the instant it opened — before you ever saw your script. We caught it the same day, withdrew both updates, and shipped this fix within hours. Your writing was never in danger. Your scripts are files on your Mac, and this bug couldn’t touch them — it only stopped the app from opening.

Fixed

  • Inkwell opens reliably again. A piece of the new per-account sync settings ran a fraction of a second too early during launch and could bring the whole app down with it. It now waits its turn.

If Inkwell wouldn’t open for you today, this update ends that — and if it still won’t, reinstall from inkwell.app/download and you’ll be right back where you left off. Everything from v1.5.2 and v1.5.0 — encrypted sync, account-aware settings — is included here and works as intended.
